Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters. This policy explains what information we handle, why, and the rights you have over it.

Last updated · January 2026

This policy applies to https://onlinelaunchmaven.com. Our featured tool, TrueLane™, is hosted separately at truelane.online and has its own practices, so please review its terms where applicable.

Who we are

The Online Launch Maven website is owned and operated by Madelein Vermeulen (trading as Online Launch Maven), who acts as the data controller of your personal data. We take care of your personal data and undertake to keep it confidential and secure.

Please read this Privacy Policy before using the Online Launch Maven website. By using the site, you agree to the practices described here.

Personal information we collect

When you visit Online Launch Maven, we may automatically collect certain information about your device, including your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies installed on your device. As you browse, we may also collect information about the pages you view, the referring websites or search terms that brought you here, and how you interact with the site. We refer to this as “Device Information.”

If you choose to use features such as our contact form, join a waitlist, or request a template or service, you may provide personal data such as your name, email address, city, organisation, or telephone number. You can choose not to provide this information, but some features may not be available to you as a result.

Why we process your data

Our priority is data security, so we aim to process only the minimal information necessary to operate the website. Automatically collected information is used to identify potential abuse and to compile statistical information about website usage. This statistical information is not aggregated in a way that would identify any particular individual.

You can visit the website without revealing who you are. We may process your information to fulfil a contract with you (for example, if you join a waitlist, request a template, or book a service) or to pursue our legitimate business interests described here.

Your rights

If you are a resident of South Africa (under POPIA) or the European Union (under GDPR), you have the following rights related to your personal data:

  • The right to be informed.
  • The right of access.
  • The right to rectification.
  • The right to erasure.
  • The right to restrict processing.
  • The right to data portability.
  • The right to object.
  • Rights in relation to automated decision-making and profiling.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details below. We may also need to transfer your information outside of your region (for example, to Canada or the United States) for processing, and we ensure these transfers meet the security requirements of both POPIA and GDPR. South African residents who are unsatisfied with how we handle their data may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa).

Links to other websites

Our website may contain links to other websites that are not owned or controlled by us, including the separately operated TrueLane™ tool. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to read the privacy statements of any website that may collect your personal information.

Information security

We secure information you provide in a controlled environment, protected from unauthorised access, use, or disclosure. We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards. However, no data transmission over the internet or a wireless network can ever be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Service providers & processors

To operate the site and deliver services, we share personal information with a small number of trusted third-party processors, each used for a specific, limited purpose:

  • Hosting and infrastructure providers (for example, Hostinger and Supabase) for serving the site and storing data.
  • AI providers (which may include Groq, Google AI, or similar services) to generate the AI-assisted content you request.
  • Paystack, our payment gateway, which processes card and bank payments on our behalf where a payment is taken in connection with a sprint or service. Paystack acts as a payment processor and not as the seller. Card and bank details are handled by Paystack under its own security standards and are not stored by Online Launch Maven; we receive only the transaction details needed to confirm payment and deliver the service.

We do not sell your personal information. We remain responsible for your personal data as the controller, and these processors act on our instructions under written agreements that require appropriate confidentiality and security. Transfers to providers outside South Africa are made with reasonable safeguards as described above.

Legal disclosure

We will disclose information we collect, use, or receive if required or permitted by law, for example to comply with a subpoena or similar legal process, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request.
